Amy Payne has lived in the east, west, and middle of the U.S. Though she currently calls the Northeast home, her dad always said, “Where there’s heart room, there’s house room,” which perhaps best expresses her feelings about what it means to be home. This, too, is how she feels about the world and our role in it.
A believer in the highest possibilities of humanity while doing her best to never look away from its (and her) lesser choices, Amy finds these middle years of life to be rich terrain. Learning and unlearning is an often raw process, one that comes with gifts - growth, truth, and love - not to be squandered or taken for granted.
The order of these gifts, she believes, is interchangeable in developing a voice and heart that has room for everyone.
We are all here. This is not a solo journey.
